Michelle Richardson has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist for 20 years. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a certified Speak Out! ® Provider for people with Parkinson’s, and a licensed SLP in Virginia. She has provided care in a variety of settings over the years, such as skilled nursing facilities, schools, home health, private practice and outpatient clinics, as well as supervised a number of new graduates in the field. She has a passion for helping adults regain their voice and swallowing and desires to go beyond traditional therapy to provide more holistic care. She believes every person deserves for their health care practitioners to walk alongside them in their health journey. She has been married for 18 years and she and her husband have 2 beautiful daughters. Outside of therapy, Michelle enjoys playing games with her young daughters, hiking with her family, drinking coffee, and spending time with her church family. When their busy schedule allows for vacations, you can find Michelle and her family either at Dollywood or any beach. She is originally from North Carolina and although will always be a Carolina girl, she is grateful to call the Blue Ridge Mountains her home.
